Biographie
Anna Ternon est artiste-chercheure, doctorante au sein du programme SACRe à l’École normale supérieure de Paris depuis 2020,
où elle mène une thèse intitulée : Corps géologiques, corps humains : pour un retour à nos attachements. Son travail allie formes plastiques, performatives, textuelles pour tenter de comprendre ce qui unit le géologique et l’humain. Elle collabore avec des chercheur·e·s
en géosciences et en sciences de la vie humaine autour de la production de différents protocoles expérimentaux.
Son travail a été présenté dans de nombreux lieux en France (Galerie Paris-Beijing, Villa du Parc, Les Embruns centre d’art, etc)
et est régulièrement soutenu dans le cadre de prix et de résidences (CentQuatre-Paris, Fondations Edmond de Rotschild,
Cité Internationale des arts, Les Ateliers Médicis, Providenza, Tignous - centre d’art contemporain, Casell’arte).
Elle mène également un travail théorique autour des formes de recherche-création dans le cadre de la co-direction de l’ouvrage art : moteur de recherche, à paraître aux éditions extensibles en 2024. Elle est par ailleurs fondatrice de l’association Formes & fonctions, qui oeuvre pour faciliter l'accès des personnes s'identifiant comme femmes et minorités de genre aux pratiques outillées.
ENGLISH VERSION
Anna Ternon is an artist-researcher and a PhD candidate in the SACRe laboratory at the École Normale Supérieure in Paris since 2020, where she is pursuing a research titled: "Geological Bodies, Human Bodies : Towards a Return to Our Attachments." Her work combines plastic, performative, and textual forms in an attempt to understand the connections between the geological and the human.
She collaborates with researchers in geosciences and human life sciences on the production of various experimental protocols.
Her work has been presented in numerous venues in France (Galerie Paris-Beijing, Villa du Parc, Les Embruns center for art, etc.)
and is regularly supported through awards and residencies (CentQuatre-Paris, Edmond de Rothschild Foundations, Cité Internationale
des Arts, Les Ateliers Médicis, Providenza, Tignous - contemporary art center, Casell'arte).
She also engages in theoretical work on forms of research-creation as part of co-directing the book "art : moteur de recherche,"
to be published by editions extensibles in 2024. She is also the founder of the association Formes & Fonctions, which works to facilitate access to DIY tools for people who identify as women and gender minorities.
